The HVO is an overdrive pedal with unparalleled tone and pick dynamics.

 

It can be used for Clean Boost,  Overdrive and Distortion.

 

It has 4 gain stages using discrete transistors instead of opamps.

 

Unique circuitry makes the transistors behave like triode vacuum tubes.

 

The supplies external power supply is 9V DC 1A  (350mA is needed).

 

The internal power supply generates 250V DC. 

 

The footswitch provides true bypass.

 

There controls are Gain, Volume, Boost, Treble, Bass Freq, Bass Level and Voice.  The Voice switch provides 3 different voicings: Vintage, Modern and Metal.

 

Only premium components are used.  The resistors are 1% tolerance metal film.

 

The printed circuit board has double copper thickness. All potentiometers and wires are connected to the circuit boards using terminal posts.

 

The aluminum enclosure is powercoat painted for durability. 

 

The HVO measures 5.8"W x 4"D x 2.8"H.
